The RMT and Aslef unions have announced further strikes over pay disputes, with four days of walkouts on 12 and 31 May and 3 June (Aslef) and 13 May (RMT).

The strikes will coincide with the Eurovision final on 13 May in Liverpool and the FA Cup final in London on 3 June.

The RMT has also announced a fresh six-month mandate, which may result in further industrial action into late autumn.

Workers at 16 train operating companies will be on strike, including Avanti West Coast; C2C; Chiltern Railways; CrossCountry; East Midlands Railway; Great Western Railway; Greater Anglia; Great Northern Thameslink; Heathrow Express; London North Eastern Railway; Northern Trains; Southeastern; Southern/Gatwick Express; South Western Railway; SWR depot drivers; SWR Island Line; TransPennine Express; and West Midlands Trains.
