Mitchells & Butlers (M&B) and Busaba Eathai are believed to be close to securing the remaining two units formally operated by the Inc Group at the O2 Arena, M&C Report has learnt.

It is understood that M&B is set to take the American Bar & Grill unit for its All Bar One brand, while Busaba will take part of the former Union Square site, of which Cabana has already secured the other part.

Earlier this year, Alan Yau’s casual-dining Thai chain Busaba Eathai confirmed plans to double its estate over the next three years, with two more London openings in 2014 and an extra focus being placed on further expansion outside of the capital.

M&B will open an All Bar One at Birmingham Airport this summer. It opened its first new All Bar One in 18 months last October at Euston Square.

All Bar One is part of the Upmarket Social market space, which M&B has identified as one of the key areas it is looking to invest in.

The Frank Dowling-led Inc Group and other subsidiaries were placed into administration late last year. It is thought that D&D London is in advanced talks to take Dowling’s Madison site at the One New Change scheme.

Lunson Mitchenall is believed to have acted on the O2 deals.
