David Lodge has stepped down as property and development director at Novus Leisure after over eight years with the company, M&C Report understands.

Lodge, who previous to joining Novus spent over a year as head of developments at Roadchef, has restarted his own eponymous consultancy business. He has over 24 years’ experience in the brewing and leisure industry.

Graham Turner, the former chief executive of Tragus, was appointed executive chairman of Novus, the LGV Capital and Huttons Collins-backed premium bar and restaurant group, last October. At the same time, Tim Cullum was appointed chief executive of the c50-strong group.

The appointment of Turner and the promotion of Cullum, came after 12 months of upheaval at Novus, which saw the majority of the management team led by former chief executive Steve Richards move on.

The consultation process at its head office, which started in July, has now ended, led to c20 head office staff leaving the company.
