InterBev, the international division of Thai Beverages, has acquired Inver House Distillers, the Scottish-based producer of whisky-brands such as Old Pulteney, for an undisclosed “high eight-figure sum”. Barrie Jackson, president of InterBev, said: “Inver’s brands are growing fast and have a reputation for quality and distinction, in particular whiskies such as Old Pulteney, which has had a fantastic year in terms of sales. Our focus is now to drive the business.” Inver, which was founded in 1964, also produces Heather Cream liquer and Coldstream London Gin.
