The Great Northern Hotel has announced a series of senior management appointments.

The Tribute Portfolio hotel said Hotel Café Royal’s Anthony Lee had joined as chief executive, with former ONE Group director of sales and marketing, Iain W. Duncan, as group marketing director. The company has also appointed Andrew Wheal, most recently of Hamilton, as ‎group rooms revenue director.

Alongside their responsibilities at London’s Great Northern Hotel in King’s Cross, this new senior team will work across Aries Hotels, a new collection of boutique hotels created by owner Jeremy Robson.

The group said the appointments marked “a strong operational and strategic action for Great Northern Hotel and Aries Hotels, in accordance with a planned expansion”.

Jeremy Robson, owner of Great Northern Hotel and Aries Hotels said: “All three appointments mark a deliberate plan I have put in place to bring extremely strong operational and strategic expertise to Great Northern Hotel and the wider Aries Hotels group, as we strive to become a leading developer and operator of upscale boutique hotels. Following our exciting news of Great Northern Hotel becoming part of Starwood’s Tribute Brand in Q4 of 2015 I am delighted to welcome Anthony, Iain and Andrew to our team to continue our growth and success.”
