Grand Leisure, the pub and restaurant company founded by the Hashtroudi Brothers, has been placed on the market with an asking price of about £4m, M&C Report has learnt.

The company, which was founded in 1974, operates four restaurants under the Alcatraz brand in Winchester, Poole, Camberley and Bournemouth, plus four food-led pubs - the Royal Oak in Downton, the Sir John Barclaycorn in Cadnam, the Old Beams in Ringwood and the Hobler in Lymington.

It is being sold as a package or as two separate portfolios consisting of its restaurants and gastropubs.

It is understood that Christie & Co is handling the sale on behalf of Grand Leisure.
