Flavour Garden, the mixed-model restaurant, bar and retail business, which was consulted on by former Geronimo operations director Mark Ashley, has closed its single site and gone into administration, MCA understands.

The concept, which opened at 4-6 New London Street, in The City, at the end of 2016, had counter service during the day with salads, cold pressed juice and hot food, with a wine, cocktails and craft beer bar in the evening.

Last year Ashley told MCA of plans to open a number of sites across the capital, including variations on the format, with an A3 bar-restaurant model, and a garden market format, in the mould of Sourced Market.

The site is believed to have closed towards the end of 2017, with a liquidator appointed in January.

Ashley is understood to have supported the launch of the concept, and has since moved onto other projects under his Mark Ashley Ltd hospitality consultancy.

Roma London, a restaurant, wine and cocktail bar has taken the unit at 4 New London Street.
