Five Guys, the popular US burger chain, has secured its first site in the Midlands, after taking on a unit in the city’s The Bullring shopping centre, M&C Report has learnt.
The group, which will open its fifth UK site on Monday in Kingston, has secured the Del Villaggio unit in the Middle Mall part of the scheme for an opening near the end of May.
The site is the ninth the group has secured in the UK and its hopes to have 20 open by the end of the year with a further secured for its pipeline
It will open in Manchester, Westfield London and Lakeside Shopping Centre this spring.
The company will open at the scheme this summer alongside Wasabi, Harpers British Classics, Rhythm Kitchen and Gino D’Acampo’s My Pasta Bar. It is thought that Nando’s and a burrito operator are also in talks to open at the centre.
It is also in talks on sites in Leeds, Solihull and Harlow.
