Nick Fiddler, the co-founder of Strada and Cote, has been appointed the new non-executive chairman of the latter, M&C Report has learnt.
It is understood that Cote’s management team led by Alex Scrimgeour and Harald Samuelsson invited Fiddler, who with Andy Bassadone and Chris Benians, was a key component in the development and success of Belgo, Strada, Cote, Le Caprice, The Ivy and Bill’s, to take up the role, which has been vacant since the group’s c£100m acquisition last September by CBPE Capital.
The highly-experienced Fiddler takes up his role as the group closes in on its 50th opening. The group opened its latest site at the Kingston Riverside Development earlier this month, its 48th and first in Manchester will open next month, to be followed by openings in Marlow and Bury St Edmunds in May.
The company has a strong pipeline of openings in place for this year, with sites already secured in Wokingham and Bishop Stortford.
