Enoteca Da Luca, the Italian wine and deli concept owned by the Osteria Group, has a secured its second unit in London on Basinghall Street. The concept, which opened its original site in Devonshire Square that opened last year, will integrate a new Venetian coffee concept called Bacari to complement the offering. Enoteca Da Luca, which is owned by restaurateur Robert Dora, secured a new 15-year lease on the site for at a passing rent of £68,000 per annum exclusive with landlord’s incentive. Dora hopes to roll out the Enoteca Da Luca and Bacari concepts further in the City and the West End. The new unit extends to around 1,380sq ft at ground floor level, and is part of the Standard Life building at 95 Gresham Street. The entrance foyer at ground floor level and the lower ground floor area on Basinghall Street has been taken by British steak and cocktail concept, Hawksmoor. The new Bacari concept will be offer fine Italian coffee, cichetti and other Italian foods and pastries. Dora, director of Enoteca Da Luca and Bacari brands said: “I am excited about both ventures in this location which I hope will enhance the whole Italian food and drink lifestyle here in the City of London.” Chris Bickle of Davis Coffer Lyons, which acted on behalf of Dora, said, “The offering will fit perfectly in this City location and provide customers with an authentic Italian experience in a stylish and contemporary interior.
