Electric Star, the London-based pub operator led by Rob Star, has secured its third site in the capital. The company, which is looking to expand across East and North London, has acquired the leasehold interest of the 3 Sisters in Hackney Down. The group, which was formed at the end of 2007, is set to re-open the pub in April as the Star by Hackney Downs. It also runs the Star of Bethnal Green and the Star of Kings N1. Star said: “We want to open well run traditional pubs with a modern twist to the decor, focusing on entertainment and a great food and drinks offering. We are looking to purchase the leaseholds of pubs around East and North London that work with our current blueprint and eventually purchase the freeholds of the buildings where possible.”
