3Sixty Restaurants is looking for pub sites on the fringe of high streets or in destination affluent suburban locations to aid the expansion of its Ego brand as it looks to acquire three to five pubs over the next 18 months.

The eight-strong group, which is led by James Horler, has retained Colliers International to find sites capable of housing 120 covers, with outside areas suitable for al fresco dining, ample car parking and are free of tie for wines, spirits and minerals.

Target towns include Macclesfield, Northwich, Crewe, Stafford, Ribble Valley, Sutton Coldfield/Mere Green, Solihull and suburbs north of Derby.

M&C Report understands that the company has funding in place to acquire a number of “character-led” pubs and is looking at free-of-tie, tied on beers and in some cases freehold options.

The move by Ego mirrors similar expansion steps taken by restaurant groups such as Pesto and Brasserie Blanc in the last 18 months.

Ross Kirton, director, Licensed and Leisure at Colliers International, said: “The Mediterranean-inspired concept with its upmarket and sophisticated feel, has already proven very successful and as part of an evolution of the concept, we are seeking character-led pub properties across both town centre and ‘destination’ suburban locations, particularly across the Midlands and the North West of England.”
