The Dunedin Pub Company has put two freehold pubs on the market for a combined price of £1.7m. Flotterstone Inn, which is available for an asking price of £800,000, and the Bridge Inn, for sale at £975,000, are both on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The directors of Dunedin have decided to dispose of their two businesses in Scotland, in order to concentrate on other opportunities south of the border. Christie & Co is handling the disposal of the two pubs, which are available for sale as a package or as individual sites. The Flotterstone Inn is a traditional pub/restaurant situated just 5 minutes from the Edinburgh bypass, at the foot of the Pentland hills. Also included for sale with the business is a 3-bedroom detached house. The Bridge Inn is a well known bar/restaurant, which is situated on the Union Canal in the village of Ratho, close to both Edinburgh airport and the M8. Previously used as a farmhouse, dating from the middle of the Eighteenth Century, it has been substantially extended and upgraded over the years.
