Drake & Morgan, the London-based bar and restaurant group led by Jillian McLean, has launched a Facebook booking app.  

The company says the app – which has been installed on each of its individual venue pages – will help ‘“create an integrated, one-stop experience for customers, from updating a status and uploading a photo, to booking a table and sharing a reservation with friends”.

The app will mean that tables can be booked quickly and easily via a computer or mobile device, while allowing Drake & Morgan to track all reservations from Facebook, communicate with customers on a personable level and increase its reach when bookings are shared on people’s walls.

London-based Aardvark has designed the app, which uses its Nudge CRM platform.

Lisa Yearwood, head of marketing at Drake & Morgan, said: “This is just the beginning for us – the next stage is to reward customers with personalised offers and more via the app, and to give them further insight into the growing Drake & Morgan family.”

Last month Drake & Morgan signed up to the Q App mobile ordering system, which is being trialled at its Drift in the City venue ahead of a possible rollout across the group.

The app allows customers to browse the menu, order and pay from their smartphone, avoiding the need to queue, carry cash or ask for the bill.
