Domino's Pizza is negotiating with mobile communications service providers with a view to launching Domino's WAP ordering in the next few months.

The news came as the company announced sales in the first 15 weeks of the year to April 9 up 13.1% year-on-year.

The company, which has sites in the UK and Ireland, opened six new outlets in the first quarter, one corporate and five franchised. One franchised unit opened in Ireland where there are now five.

Two units closed, leaving a total of 205 including 15 that are company- owned.

The company reported a growing e-commerce ordering business and said it was rolling out interactive television ordering into three major London areas.

It hopes to deliver other companies' products following on from its recent "gameplay" initiative where it delivered a computer game with its pizzas.
