Dabbers Social Bingo has confirmed it will be opening a site near Aldgate, as reported by MCA last month.

Opening next month at 12-22 Houndsditch, the site claims to be the UK’s first modern bingo venue.

It has been founded by Ed Wethered, who has teamed up with the brains behind Musical Bingo, Gospeloke, and Comedy House Party. The concept is also backed by the founder of Picturehouse Cinemas.

The venue will feature a bar with live DJ sets, a variety of seating options, from social bingo tables to banquettes, with Baller Booths available to hire. There will also be different themes on different nights of the week, including Vintage Bingo and Disco Bingo.

MCA previously reported that Bingo Forever Limited – a company that lists an interesting collection of industry names, has trademarked the name of the concept.

According to Companies House, in addition to Wethered, Lyn Goleby, former MD of Picturehouse Cinemas is serving as company director, and Luke Bishop, former MD at Polpo, is listed as ops manager.
