Cougar Leisure, formerly Herald Inns & Bars, has sold the Brannigans bar in Warrington, Greater Manchester for an undisclosed sum from an asking price of £575,000. The bar, which covers three floors and has a capacity for 1,300 people, was acquired by a local operator. Following the pre-pack administration of Herald Inns in July last year, chief executive Julian Sargeson, launched Cougar Leisure with 21 of Herald’s 37 sites. The remaining sites were left with administrators Ernst & Young. Christie & Co handled the sale of Brannigans.
