Coal Grill & Bar, the Charterhouse Leisure-owned brand, has invested c.£1m in the opening of its first restaurant in the North West, at Cheshire Oaks.
The new 120-cover restaurant is located at the Coliseum Leisure Park and features an open-plan kitchen and cocktail bar.
The group recently secured further openings in Gloucester and Swindon, as it looks to have at least 15 branches operating by mid-2015.
The company, which is led by John Gater, recently secured a further tranche of funding from existing investors as it looks to add up to 13 sites to existing estate over the next three years.
Gater, managing director of Coal Grill & Bar, said: “We are very excited to open a new Coal Grill & Bar at the Coliseum Leisure Park in Cheshire Oaks. The region’s premier leisure destination is the perfect location for our dynamic restaurants and bars and is a key site in our expansion plans for locations across the UK.”
Established in 2007, Coal Grill & Bar also includes restaurants in Basingstoke, Sheffield, Bristol, Exeter and Milton Keynes with contracts on five new openings agreed for 2014.
