Chopstix has teamed up with UK holiday resort operator Butlin’s to open a site at Bognor Regis next year.

The Asian QSR business, which also plans to expand into Butlin’s resorts in Minehead and Skegness, will join F&B franchises Burger King, Costa Coffee, and Papa John’s in the new Skyline Eats restaurant venue, which is due to open in the Skyline Pavilion next year.

The announcement comes after Chopstix partnered with UK holiday operator Haven earlier this year to open sites within its holiday parks.

“Franchising is an important part of our growth strategy and this partnership is another important landmark in our ongoing expansion,” Jon Lake, Chopstix MD, said.

“We’ve seen that Chopstix can make an instant impact at holiday resorts, so we’re confident that Chopstix will quickly become a popular addition to the dining options at Butlin’s.”

Chopstix was established in Camden Market 20 years ago by Sam Elia and Menashe Sadik and currently operates 80 locations in the UK and Ireland, 25 of which are franchise sites operated by the likes of Welcome Break and Applegreen.

“Sir Billy Butlin remains an inspiration for entrepreneurs in the UK, so it’s really special that the business that Sam and I started on a stall at Camden Market is going to be at a Butlin’s resort next year,” Sadik said. “We’re as passionate about the business now as we were on day one, and a partnership like this only makes us more excited about the future for Chopstix.”

Butlin’s will fully manage the Bognor Regis site and all team members will undergo a full Chopstix induction, the brand said.

The full menu will be available with Pan-Asian options, including Teriyaki Beef, Sweet Chilli Prawns, and Caramel Drizzle Chicken, as well as sides ranging from Spring Rolls to Chicken Balls, Prawn Crackers, and Salt ‘n’ Pepper Potatoes.
