Prezzo, the restaurant group led by Jonathan Kaye, has secured its first three sites of the year for openings under its Chimichanga brand this week, which will see the chain pass the 30 mark. The company will open two sites in April, in Maidstone and on the former Blockbuster site in Wimbledon. A further unit will open the following month in Whiteley shopping centre, Fareham. At the end of last year, it opened its second site in the north in Halifax and a unit in Bury St Edmunds. Last year, Kaye said that the brand had certainly come of age helped by its offer and by the fact that consumers around the country had become more educated when it came to Mexican food.
