The owner of The Ivy is reportedly set to roll out a chain of restaurants based on the celebrity haunt in London’s West End.
Richard Caring, who made a fortune in the fashion industry before acquiring A-list restaurants, is understood to be negotiating on a number of sites in the capital, including Camden Market and Curzon Street, for restaurants with the working title Ivy Cafe.
If successful, the new chain will sit alongside his London restaurants including J Sheekey and Le Caprice.
The proposed concept comes just after it was revealed that Jane Holbrook, the former finance director of Novus Leisure, is poised to join Richard Caring in a senior capacity.
Holbrook, who left Novus earlier this year, is thought to be joining Caring’s team as finance director and will oversee the books for a number of the entrepreneur’s leisure interests.
