Richard Caring is believed to have secured the first site for a new all-day dining format, the Ivy Café, in London’s Covent Garden, M&C Report understands.

It is believed that the Caring-backed Caprice Holdings has applied to open the first site under the new format at the Pizza Hut unit at 1a Henrietta Street, which if successful could be the first of several branches under the concept.

Caring had previously mooted the Ivy Café concept back in 2011 and was believed to have secured 12 Curzon Street for the format. This subsequently became Soho House’s Little House venture.

At that point he was also rumoured to be looking at Camden as a possible destination for the concept.

Caring, who also backs Bill’s, Grillshack and Jackson + Rye, recently secured the NatWest Bank site at 1/4 Berkeley Square for as-yet unnamed restaurant project.
