Canteen has promoted Kasia Vanderputt to the role of group finance director, whilst its former finance director Mayuri Vachhani has joined Ed’s Easy Diner on a permanent basis as director of special projects, finance, M&C Report understands.

Vanderputt was joined Canteen, which recently agreed to sell its site in Baker Street, as financial controller last February.

Vachhani left the then four-strong group last June, as is believed to have been working at Ed’s on an interim consultancy basis.

She was previously financial controller at ASK Italian for over three years, whilst Vanderputt spent over three years as an accountant at Espirit.

Vachhani joins Ed’s, which wons two awards at this year’s Retailers’ Retailer, as it looks to open 12 sites in 2014.

The group, which is led by Andrew Guy and earlier this year secured its first ever extended bank funding in the form of a £4.5m facility with RBS, is scheduled to open in Crawley, Manchester and York over the next 12 months.
