Brula, the high-end restaurant group founded by Bruce Duckett and Lawrence Hartley, is opening its third restaurant in South West London. La Saveur, the French casual dining bistro that will open in mid-March in East Sheen, Richmond, will be the group's largest restaurant with 60 covers and a 20 ft bar. The duo, who used the first letters in their first names to form the title of the company, used to work at Bibendum and the Ivy. The pair opened their first restaurant Brula Bistrot in 1997 in St Margarets, followed by La Buvette in 2004 in Richmond. Hartley told M&C Report: “We want our restaurants to follow a loop with regards to their locations, without intruding on the existing market. “We plan to open a further French restaurant next year in Wimbledon or Ealing and will start looking for a site once La Saveur is up and running.”
