Breakthrough in proposed 2021 immigration strategy for ‘low skilled’ workers

The hospitality industry has reached the “breakthrough moment we’ve been waiting for” on immigration policy, said Kate Nicholls, UKHospitality CEO. Speaking at a Prestige Purchasing event on Monday 9 December, Nicholls revealed government plans for a post-2021 three-tier immigration system that would maintain a ‘low-skilled’ route to UK settled status, should the Conservatives win a majority.
