Bradford Live, a regeneration company in west Yorkshire, is planning to convert the city’s former Odeon cinema into a 4,500 capacity live music.

The group has applied for a £5m grant from the Heritage Enterprise Scheme, part of the Heritage Lottery Fund, towards converting the cinema into a venue.

The site was built as a ballroom and still retains both that and original restaurants as well as the main auditorium.

Under the proposed scheme the restaurant and ballroom will remain as independent venues from the rest of the space.
