Heston Blumenthal, the Michelin-starred chef of the Fat Duck, will not face legal action over the food poisoning outbreak at his restaurant in Bray. Environmental health officials have decided not to prosecute the chef over alleged breaches of food safety legislation after a report concluded that oysters tainted with sewage and poor staff hygiene levels had led to customers falling ill. Windsor and Maidenhead council said that while the restaurant could have done more to combat the norovirus outbreak, there was not enough evidence to take formal action.
