Big Easy, the American dining concept founded by Paul Corrett, is to open its second site in Guildford, over 15 years after opening its first in Chelsea, London.

The company has taken the lease of the former Old Orleans site on Bedford road in the Surrey town, on a passing rent of £175,000.

A 400-cover Big Easy is set to open this summer complete with alfresco dining area, live music and a bigger bar area compared to the original site.

Corrett also owns Clos Maggiore, the fine-dining French restaurant in Covent Garden, and the Italian Kitchen eaterie in New Oxford Street.

Property advisor Fleurets handled the Guildford deal on behalf of the vendor.
