Jason Atherton, the former Maze executive chef, has completed on his first Mayfair restaurant. He has acquired a 6,595 sq ft unit in Pollen Street from Marston’s, the regional brewer and pub operator for an undisclosed sum. The chef, who is also developing a pop up site for next month’s London Restaurant Festival, will reopen the former Pitcher & Piano site in January 2011 as the Pollen St Social.
