Advent International has pulled out of talks to buy the noodle bar chain Wagamama after failing to agree a price with owners Lion Capital, who reportedly want more than £210m.
But buy-out firm Ocean Partners is thought to be interested.
Meanwhile a planned flotation of steak chain Gaucho Grill is understood to be progressing well.
