Adnams, the Suffolk-based brewer, pub operator and distiller, has appointed Nicky Dulieu, chief executive of upmarket fashion retailer Hobbs, as a non-exeutive director.

Before joining Hobbs, where Dulieu will remain as chief executive before becoming a non-executive director in April, she worked for Marks & Spencer, where she led strategic finance initiatives across a broad range of disciplines. These included retail operations and property.

Her last role at M&S was finance director of the Food Division.

Adnams chairman Jonathan Adnams said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome another high-calibre independent non-executive director to the Adnams board. Nicky will bring a wealth of experience from her finance background in the corporate sector and most recently leading a high quality fashion retailer.”

Dulieu said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Adnams board. I have been extremely impressed by the passion and integrity of everyone I have met and look forward to being part of such a strong team.”
