The nightclub company that runs the Lava Lounge chain has called in administrators, writes Paul Charity. Joff Pope and David Crawshaw of KPMG Restructuring have been appointed joint administrators of 7T’s Limited. The company runs three Lava Lounge nightclubs, located in the Brewery Quarter, Cardiff; Salubrious Place, Swansea; and Fleet Street, Swindon, employing 100 staff. The business encountered financial difficulties following the initial fitting out of the clubs and, as a result of a lack of working capital to support the business, administrators were appointed. Each of the sites is continuing to trade as normal and the administrators are looking to sell the business and assets as a going concern. Joff Pope, KPMG director and joint administrator, said: “It is business as usual for all three of the Lava Lounge venues whilst we seek a buyer for the business.”
