The owners of the Aberdeen Angus Steak House chain are looking to roll out the brand to 10 new sites in central London. Noble Organisation, which bought the chain out of receivership in 2004, said that it had the funding to acquire 10 new sites in high footfall and tourist locations in the capital. It said it was interested in outlets ranging in size between 750sq ft and 5,000sq ft located in areas such as Bayswater, Covent Garden, Kensington, Oxford Street, Paddington, Southbank, St Pauls and Victoria. The company said that it believed it had the opportunity to buy properties at value in this market. The group, which is owned by Philip Noble, currently has seven restaurants under the Aberdeen Angus Steak House brand in central London, as well as two sites under the Green Door brand in the City of London and on Gloucester Road and one fish and chip outlet called the Mermaids Tail in Leicester Square. It is understood that the company may be interested in rolling out more sites under the Green Door chain. In addition to its other restaurants, Noble acquired five Hamburger Union sites from the group’s former owner Hugh Fowler in January 2008 and plans to continue trading them under the brand at present. It also operates bingo halls, arcades and nightclubs and its assets include the Palace Pier in Brighton. Cedar Dean has been appointed as the retained agents by Noble to search for new sites.
