Shake Shack, Wingstop and Poptata are among the operators that will open at the new Boxpark Wembley, MCA has learnt.
Terms have been agreed for 75% of the units at the pop-up concept, which will house 24 independent food and drink operators, and 20,000 sq ft of event space, when it opens later this year.
Other operators to join the line-up include Ugly Dumpling and The Athenian.
Roger Wade, founder and CEO of Boxpark, said: “I’m delighted to announce the new vendors coming to Boxpark Wembley. There’s a real mix of food offerings that we think both locals and visitors will enjoy – we’re excited to have them as part of the Boxpark family.”
The Wembley site, located in Wembley Park, will be the first fully indoor Boxpark. The units vary in size from 500sq ft, to 1,800sq ft, with a three-month waiting list currently in place for new vendor applications. Further tenants will be announced in the coming months.
Earlier this year, Wade has said he wanted Boxpark to be “an antidote” to the traditional casual dining market.
“There are a lot of businesses that have grown a bit too quickly. We want to be an antidote to that. Our industry is evolving, it’s changing, and if you don’t change with it, you won’t survive,” he said.
He said the Wembley site would be “an evolution” of the existing concept, with space dedicated for delivery drivers to park up their bikes to provide easy access to the restaurants, for example.
Boxpark Wembley is set to be the largest iteration of the concept to date, and will house food and drink operators only, like its Croydon counterpart, which opened in October 2016.
