Alcohol duty cut being considered by Chancellor

Pubs could see alcohol duty rates cut below that of supermarkets in plans being considered by the Chancellor. Ahead of next week’s Budget announcement (3 March), prime minister Boris Johnson revealed to the Commons that a review has been carried out into the differentiation between pubs and retailers, and Sunak was “looking very closely at the findings”.
