The Luke Johnson-chaired Eclectic Bars, is to reluanch its Fez venue in Putney under an evolved, experiential-focussed model, Le Fez.

The venue on Upper Richmond Road is currently closed as the conversion takes shape, which will see the site divided into two main areas – Le Jardin bar and the Clubroom.

Entertainment will include early-evening comedy on Saturdays, midweek live bands, cabaret, weekend stage shows provided by nightclub entertainment specialists Invasion Angels, and DJs. In addition there will be the monthly Bongo’s Bingo, described as a wacky party night that combines prize bingo with hands-in-the-air pop classics and surprise live guests.

Eclectic’s managing director, Lee Nicolson, said: “Today’s nightclub experience is all about adding value and challenging the norm. Le Fez will offer an all-round night-time entertainment experience.

“The success of our other experiential venues such as Smash in Reading and Wimbledon has given us the confidence to further develop other different takes on immersive products.

“Le Fez will spearhead the next generation of nightclub experiences and offer an alternative for those who, rather than simply drink and dance, wish to be thoroughly and royally entertained.”

Eclectic forms part of Brighton Pier Group, which is still chaired by Luke Johnson, despite his vow to relinquish further board roles to concentrate on the troubled Patisserie Holdings.
