Popeyes has announced the launch of a further four UK sites in Richmond, Woolwich, and Kilburn, along with a delivery kitchen in Wood Green.

The new venues will mean consumers across London will now have access to the fried chicken chain, with six restaurants and eight delivery kitchens across the capital following the openings.

The Richmond restaurant will be the first to open near Richmond train station on 4 May 2023. It will see the launch of Popeyes’ breakfast menu in the UK, including The Big Breakfast Roll, Cajun seasoned hash browns, and Nutella-topped biscuit.

The 18-strong chain recently confirmed its first drive-thru, which will open in Rotherham in May, with a further five planned for the year.

It is on track to open 20 sites this year after ramping up its programme to two new sites per month.

Tom Byng, chief development officer at Popeyes UK, commented: “London is naturally a key market for us, and we want to make sure no borough is underserved.”

“We acquire and open sites based on market demand, and it turns out that every corner of the city loves flavourful, spicy chicken as much as we do. We’re looking forward to continuing our expansion.”
