MCA and sister title BigHospitality’s annual Hostech conference will return on 8 February 2023, featuring speakers from industry-leading brands including Burger King, Bao, and Chopstix.

The conference, which will be held at the Ham Yard Hotel in London, will feature a range of exclusive presentations, insight sessions, and panel discussions on technology’s impact on the hospitality sector and current trends.

Speakers will include Tim Love, director of digital at Burger King UK, who will discuss the brand’s omnichannel approach through its app-based loyalty scheme, including aims and objectives, the tech, and results so far.

Recently confirmed speakers include Roland Horne, founder and CEO for WatchHouse Coffee, and Will Kenney, commercial director at 200 Degrees Coffee. The two operators will participate in a panel session that explores how coffee shops have driven loyalty and revenue through apps, click-and-collect, and personalised marketing.

Another panel session will feature speakers representing Abokado, Bao, and Chopstix speaking on targeted marketing, with a focus on capturing and managing data, segmenting consumer demographics, and offering bespoke promotions.

The event also includes Q&A session with Hop Vietnamese founder Paul Hopper and Mollies MD Darren Sweetland. Hopper will discuss the recent overhaul of Hop’s internal operating model, while Sweetland will discuss how apps, digital check-in, and other tech has appealed to the target demographic for the diner and motel business.
