Tossed, the salad bar concept founded by Vincent McKevitt, today revealed it has appointed an operations director and a finance director.

The new appointments follow the injection of £1.5m worth of investment by Beringea, the venture capitalist.

Andrew Shanahan has been appointed as operations director - and takes over the day-to-day running of the Tossed’s seven outlets. He was previously managing director of LoveJuice and spent five years as an operations and development director at Pret-a-Manger.

Neil Sebba, who helped Tossed raise its £1.5m Beringea investment, has been made finance director. He was previously with Cornerstone Corporate Finance, where he advised leisure and consumer facing businesses on raising private equity funds.
