SushiDog has announced expansion plans across London, with a second site in Covent Garden due to open in March.

The sushi roll concept started trading from a kiosk at Westfield London in May 2018, and the new 300 sq ft unit located in Seven Dials, Covent Garden, will be its first bricks and mortar site.

Speaking to MCA last year, co-founders Greg Ilsen and Nick Goldstein said they hope to open three sites in 2020, followed by another two in 2021.

Alongside its new site, SushiDog will offer home delivery exclusively through Deliveroo, but will also be working with City Pantry, Caterwings, and Feedr to cater for larger offices.

“We’ve been delighted with how our concept has worked at Westfield London,” said Ilsen and Goldstein. “We’ve had a lot of demand to bring our concept to the Covent Garden area so we’re really excited about opening up our second store there in March 2020.”

Danielle Leslie, a surveyor at Restaurant Property, acted for YOLO, the former dessert-only bar and seller of the site.
