Faucet Inn, the London and south-east multiple headed by Steve Cox, has reported strong sales from its Podium Bar, its 18,000sq ft pop-up operation, which was located on the edge of Westfield Stratford overlooking the Olympic Park over the summer. It said that up to 3,000 people a day came through the doors of the bar, which was launched at the start of the Olympics, with heavy traffic through both the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Cox, managing director of Faucet Inn, said: “We were delighted to have been a part of the whole Paralympic Games experience—it was highly enjoyable, especially when the sun was out. The Paralympics closing ceremony provided a great finish for the Podium Bar.”
