International dessert franchise Heavenly Desserts has opened its first kiosk in Livingston, West Lothian.

Located within Livingston Designer Outlet’s Food Quarter, the ‘Pico’ restaurant format marks the brand’s fifth location in Scotland.

The kiosk will offer bespoke morning and afternoon menus, including the brand’s signature Croffle, a croissant-come-waffle hybrid, and a selection of waffles, milk cakes and no-alcohol drinks.

The morning menu will include a range of hot drinks accompanied by a Cinnamon Swirl, Apple and Blackcurrant Crumble Jack, and a freshly baked Croffle and hot drink available for £4.95.

Heavenly Desserts takes the place of SpudULike alongside a range of established food brands, such as McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, and Subway.

The Hundal family, franchisees of Heavenly Desserts Livingston, said: “Heavenly Desserts is an innovative brand with a professional approach to its products and service, and one that I’m really pleased to be partnering with to launch its first ever kiosk to the sweet-toothed locals of Livingston.

“My wife and business partner have been bringing our children to Livingston Designer Outlet for many years and know the surrounding area well. We’re both very fond of desserts and spotted a unique gap in the local food market, as no one offers the quality, experience and taste in desserts that Heavenly Desserts prides itself on.

“Although this is our first franchise experience with Heavenly Desserts, our belief in the brand and its values led us to establish a longer-term partnership with Yousif and his team, and we are really excited to be opening a number of additional Heavenly Desserts restaurants in Scotland soon.”

Heavenly Desserts’ recent menu update sees its entire offering revamped to build on trending flavour profiles, including the brand’s first ever vegan croffle, a Cinnamon Monkey Bread, and the Chocolate Bonbon.

Yousif Aslam, co-managing director of Heavenly Desserts, said: “Our latest opening at Livingston is one that we’ve all been looking forward to with great anticipation, due its new kiosk-style format being the first of its kind for our brand. We decided to term the new kiosk format Pico, as this takes inspiration from the Spanish word to show a smaller quantity.”

“One of the key values of Heavenly Desserts is to be an innovator and trendsetter in the world of premium desserts, and our launch in Livingston is emblematic of that ethos. We wish the Hundal family every success for the launch and beyond, and look forward to welcoming the people of Scotland to our fifth location in the country with the very best desserts we have to offer.”
