Greggs has lined up two more sites for the expansion of its drive thru format, with more understood to be in the pipeline.
The food-to-go retailer is to open its third drive thru site, and second in partnership with Euro Garages, at Frontier Park – a manufacturing and logistic development located at J6 of the M65 in Blackburn.
Meanwhile North Tyneside Council has granted planning permission for a development on Tyneside Autoparc, which would include a Greggs drive thru.
The application was submitted by The Kay Group, which also operates Irlam Service Station in Greater Manchester, where Greggs opened its first drive thru last summer.
The retailer opened its second drive thru earlier this month at Flagstaff Park, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, and chief executive Roger Whiteside has previously told MCA that he is keen to roll out the format where possible.
