Euro Garages UK is planning to open a further 50 Greggs stores across the UK by the end of 2018, following its acquisition of a collection of Little Chef sites last year, MCA has learnt.

The forecourt retailer, part of the EG Group, has already opened about 140 Greggs concessions, and after acquired 78 Little Chef sites will convert c30 to into Greggs.

The new openings are part of an on-going brand partnership with Greggs as Euro Garages’ fresh bakery partner.

The EG Group has also opened a drive-thru Greggs at the Ashby Gateway development, which is open 24 hours a day and is the second Greggs drive-thru developed in the UK.

Ilyas Munshi, commercial director at Euro Garages UK, said: “Greggs provides a fresh, value proposition and is attractive to roadside customers.

“We work with Greggs and our supply chain to design and develop a consumer experience which exceeds customer expectations. There are no third party or company operated Greggs concessions in our estate.”
