Domino’s Pizza Group has completed its joint venture acquisition of Joey’s Pizza, the largest pizza delivery operator in Germany, in a deal worth €79m (£57.6m).
The company confirmed that all regulatory and other customary approvals had been satisfied for the JV between the company and Australian-based Domino’s Pizza Enterprises in respect of the group’s German operations, and acquisition of Joey’s Pizza.
The company now owns a one-third equity stake in the largest pizza delivery business in Germany, as well as the Domino’s franchises in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Switzerland.
David Wild, chief executive of Domino’s Pizza Group, said: “Our strategic stake in the joint venture positions DPG to capitalise fully on the significant future growth potential of this profitable and scaleable business. We look forward to partnering with DPE.”
