Domino’s Pizza Group has begun the search for a new chief financial officer after announcing that Sean Wilkins, has resigned from the company and will step down with immediate effect.

The company said that trading has continued to be positive in the final quarter of the financial year and expects profit before tax for the year to be in line with, or marginally ahead of, consensus forecasts.

Wilkins took up the position of chief financial officer designate with effect from 18 November 2013 to take over as chief financial officer on 2 April 2014. He joined the company from Coles Group PTY Limited in Australia where he was general manager (Supermarkets Finance).

Stephen Hemsley, chairman of Domino’s Pizza Group, said: “I would like to thank Sean for his contribution to Domino’s during his time as Chief Financial Officer. Together with David and the wider senior management team, he has played an important role in maintaining Domino’s position as the Number One pizza company in the UK.  We wish him every success for the future.”

Wilkins said: “I am proud to have been part of the Domino’s team during a time when the Company has undergone significant growth. I wish David and the whole team well and I am confident that the Company will continue to perform strongly.”
