Cornish Bakery plans to open five sites in the coming months, with further sites in legals.

The c55-strong independent bakery chain recently opened a large unit in Truro, the capital city of Cornwall, and has sites in development in Canterbury, Salisbury, Harrogate, Norwich, and Cheltenham.

Details of sites under legals will be announced in the coming months, while several of the group’s sites have been refurbished.

Founder Steve Grocutt said: “Truro has been incredible. We have found the right location in Cornwall’s capital city, however trading here has already far exceeded our wildest expectations. Alongside positive comments the bakery’s look and feel, we’re gaining glowing 5 star reviews and consistent NPS scores.

“We’re now well into the process for our upcoming openings in some of UK’s most prominent market towns and cities including Canterbury, Salisbury, Harrogate, Norwich and Cheltenham. Bakery is most definitely the new coffee shop, and we’re continuing to bring our unique experience, and our top-flight customer service, to places and spaces all over the country.”
