Tradeteam could cut up to 400 staff if a £500m distribution deal with Interbrew is passed by the Office of Fair Trading.
The deal will see 1,500 workers switch from Interbrew to Tradeteam, forcing cuts at the logistics company.
Phil Storer, the managing director or Tradeteam, said: "Our task, very publicly stated, is to integrate two logistics businesses.
"Interbrew has taken the decision to outsource distribution so now we are tasked with creating one business. Part of the rationalisation will involve job losses."
