Scotland-based leisure group Speratus Group has placed six of its freehold sites on the market, with offers in excess of £11.5m sought for the whole package, MCA understands.

The company, which is led by Garreth Wood and is currently looking to grow its Boozy Cow format, has placed 99 Hanover Street, Edinburgh; Auld Hundred, Edinburgh; The Golf Tavern, Edinburgh; Nox nightclub, Aberdeen; Paramount Bar, Aberdeen and The Illicit Still, Aberdeen, on the market through Christie + Co.

The sites are being sold as a group, but with individual or part group offers being considered.

One possible suitor is Stonegate Pub Company, which last summer strengthened its Scottish estate with the acquisition of Maclay Inns.

Last month, Boozy Cow has announced plans to open two sites a year, over the next five years as it eyes UK-wide expansion.

The chain said it was in the final stages of acquiring a new site in Stirling and close to securing a further site in Dundee, both due to open later this year.

Boozy Cow Aberdeen is also planning to expand to a larger site in late spring and openings in Glasgow, Perth, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and London are the key locations for future growth.
