Growth in the UK services sector accelerated last month, new figures show.
The purchasing managers index from the Ernst & Young ITEM Club reached its highest level for the services sector in 27 months in June, rising to 56.9.
Andrew Goodwin, senior economic advisor to the ITEM Club, said: “Finally the services sector appears to have rediscovered its mojo and is generating a momentum which looks less and less likely to be derailed.”
